The busy frenzy of the hummingbird flitting from flower to flower is used often as a metaphor for the arrival of summer, a symbol of sunshine, freedom and hope. However, it has been the amazing colours that have inspired this collection, bright, iridescent shades and fantastical feathers.
Louisa has carried these themes through to her designs, using hot, bright, vivid and sparkling yarns and colours, combined with curvy feminine shapes paying attention to form, texture and adornment, but still aiming to convey a delicate fragility.
