About this base yarn: Smitten Boo is a 4-ply, 80/20 blend of superwash merino and bamboo. This bamboo blend sock yarn is wonderfully soft and squooshy with a good loft yet very strong. It's lofty without being very fuzzy and has a nice sheen. Not just for socks it makes great scarves, cowls and accessories due to its wonderful drape. Approximately 425 yards & 100 grams it knits up to a gauge of 7-10 stitches per inch on US0 (2.0mm) to US 2 (2.75mm) needles. Although this yarn is machine washable on a gentle cycle, I recommend hand washing for best results and longevity of your garment
